Time to get my $#;+ Together

Okay seriously, I ate half a pan of brownies before bed tonight… a 9×13 pan… HALF OF IT. And that was after the little voice in my head (my subconscious?) had to cut me off.. Trust me, I didn’t want to stop.

I spend all day monitoring my daughter’s sugar intake, organic produce only, healthy snacks, non GMO this, grass-fed that…. We eat a big healthy breakfast every morning and I do fairly well for myself all day and then destroy it all with sweets at night. Every night.

If you’re human, you know that sugar can be addictive, but did you know that sugar actually works like many addictive drugs?
Yes, I said drugs. Well, True Life: I’m Addicted to Sugar.

It all started after I had my second baby Miss Winter. M&m’s, chocolate donuts, you name it. At first I thought it was some postpartum cravings that would pass, some hormonal whatever you wanna call it. Everyone told me cravings happened while breastfeeding. Well guess what? It never passed!

I’m writing this because my goodness, it’s time to GET MY BUTT IN GEAR!

Let me start by saying that I am actually really content with my being and my body. I’ve never felt so comfortable within myself before and I’m really proud of that… so no, this isn’t a weight or body image thing. This is a “I am straight up unhealthy” type of thing (but sure, would wouldn’t like to tone up a little?)

So I will post this here.. on a public blog about how I’m going to make healthy lifestyle choices in hopes that I will feel obligated to actually change things.

Wish me luck my lovelies, it’s sure going to be a bumpy ride.
